Hi all, I was just looking for insight on the use of my Xs with sonar, when I saw that the new Motif Xf is out. Just when I'm finaly begining to master my xs, yamaha comes out with a new one. I'm definetely not buying it, unless it is more accessible (for me) then the xs. Even with it's flash memory capabilities, and it's expanded waverom, I'm not going for the bait, even if it sounds real good. I spent a loooot of time with my Xs and I aint buying another motif. This suits me Just fine.
Just thought all you awesome musicians would be interested in the Xf's release.

Thanks for the heads-up, Matthew. I hadn't heard that yet. Because of what you said, you demonstrated why it doesn't always pay to upgrade. When it comes to technology and being blind, Speaking for myself, it takes longer to learn it. The nice thing is that you have fine controller to work with Sonar.

Very true. I didn't mean to rant so much on my last post, but it's just not worth it. Two gigs of memory for storage of sound libraries? Realy? modern day DAWs have 30 gig even 50 gig sound libraries. The wave rom's been expanded, but demension pro, or Omnisphere have much better sounds then the XF will I bet. I just don't see who in their right mind would buy it.
